With the increasing digitization of music materials across archives and libraries, such as scores, manuscripts, and audio recordings, new possibilities for linking, analyzing, and reusing music data are emerging. What opportunities does this create for musicologists, music performers and other users of music heritage collections?

In this seminar, we will explore a range of technologies and tools within the field of digital musicology and music heritage research. Music collections in Norway and abroad will be presented, and we will discuss how collaborations between academia and major music collection holders can open new ways of highlighting and curating our musical heritage.

This event is part of a two-day symposium on digital and AI musicology, organized in collaboration with RITMO Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies in Rhythm, Time and Motion (University of Oslo) and MishMash Centre for AI and Creativity.
