Currently, the National Library does not offer a public service to display archived web pages.
In the future, we will provide a playback service. In this service, you will be able to search for a URL and see how a web page looked when it was harvested.
Access can be provided, depending on the material’s copyright status and degree of personal data:
Websites owned by public institutions, or sites where the owner has agreed on open access.
Websites with an editor-in-chief who has declared responsibility for the content.
Websites without a responsible editor-in-chief, or pages containing personal data that are regarded as not widely known.
Restricted web content, most commonly due to sensitive personal data. E.g. health journals published by mistake.
Restricted content can only be accessed with clear consent from the entity which once claimed and was granted restriction.
