Travel Information

Arriving by Air

Oslo Airport, Gardermoen (OSL) is Norway’s main international airport, with direct flights from more than 120 international destinations.

From the Airport to the City Centre

From Oslo Airport (OSL), take a train to Nationaltheatret Station. The National Library is approximately a ten-minute walk from the station.

We do not recommend taking a taxi from the airport. The journey takes at least 45 minutes, and taxi fares in Norway are high.

Public Transport in Oslo

Public transport in Oslo is operated by Ruter.

You must purchase a valid ticket in the Ruter app or get a physical travel card in a kiosk before entering. Tickets are not sold on board.

The closest stop to the venue is Solli, served by bus 21, 30, and 31, and tram 12 and 13. See the Ruter website or app for routes and schedules.

Visa to Norway

Citizens from the EU/EEA and North America may visit Norway without a visa.

Participants from other countries should check visa requirements via the official website of the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI), which provides country-specific guidance and application checklists.

If you need a Visa Invitation Letter, please contact us well in advance at daisymeeting@nb.no.

Accommodation

Oslo is a popular destination in summer, and we recommend booking accommodation early.
