\n This resource contains letters written to Santa Claus from the German-speaking countries Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. The resource is currently in preparation and it is expected to be published via the Language Bank of Finland in 2025. <\/p>\n

The Santa Claus Letters \u2013 sent to Finland from around the world \u2013 feature text and art, mostly handwriting enriched with drawings. The senders are primarily children. The physical collection of the original letters at the National Archives (NARC) in Finland contains 25 shelf meters of letters all together. These letters are currently being digitized at NARC and technically processed in a project by Michael Rie\u00dfler (University of Eastern Finland) and Sandra Reimann (University of Oulu).<\/description>
