\n Erzya Causative Verb Frequencies<\/resourceName>
\n The resource will be available in Kielipankki – the Language Bank of Finland for download.<\/p>\n

ECVF (Erzya Causative Verbs and Figures) is a simple database containing a three-column set of information on finite causative verbs in Erzya. The three columns contain a lemma or head word, an MSD (Morpho-Syntactic Description) and frequency. The causative verbs in this dataset is delimited by a list of twenty-one causative verbs and their near synonyms.<\/p>\n

The frequencies have been derived from two corpora:<\/p>\n

– the erme-s-v2 (http:\/\/urn.fi\/urn:nbn:fi:lb-2023021601)<\/p>\n

– so far unpublished ERME-Paragraphs (Erzya and Moksha-language corpora consisting of literary publications from both language with only paragraph-level annotation).<\/p>\n

The ECVF dataset was built for background data to be used in the project ‘Grammatical characters in computational phylogeny: The causative alternation in Uralic’ (https:\/\/researchportal.helsinki.fi\/en\/projects\/grammatical-characters-in-computational-phylogeny-the-causative-a\/) and a part of the twenty-one verb list has been addressed in ‘Basic causative verb patterns in Uralic: Retention and renewal in grammar and lexicon’ (https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1515\/9783110755657-007)<\/description>
