The corpus consists of translation memories with translations of parts of the European Union legislative acts (Acquis Communautaire).<\/p>\n

The texts have been translated from English to either Norwegian Bokm\u00e5l or Nynorsk. There are two separate files for Nynorsk and Bokm\u00e5l, respectively. The files are in the TMX 1.4 format (a variant of XML). There is a predominance of translations into Bokm\u00e5l:<\/p>\n

– English – Bokm\u00e5l: 1,024,535 TUs
\n– English – Nynorsk: 64,168 TUs<\/p>\n

A TU (Translation Unit) is a translation pair with an original text and a parallelized translation, and corresponds to a more or less meaningful linguistic unit, typically a sentence, a heading etc. A TU may also consist of a single word or several clauses.<\/p>\n

There is an overlap between the version from 2015 and the updated version from 2020. The 2020 version contains parts of the 2015 version, and some of the translations appear to have been changed slightly. The older version is still available for download in its original form.<\/description>Dette korpuset er resultatet av arbeid utf\u00f8rt ved Enhet for E\u00d8S-oversettelse i Utenriksdepartementets Avdeling for Europa og handel. Korpuset best\u00e5r av oversettelsesminner som inneholder deler av EU-lovgivningen (Acquis Communautaire).<\/p>\n

Materialet best\u00e5r av filer med engelsk originaltekst, og oversettelser til henholdsvis bokm\u00e5l og nynorsk. Det finnes en fil for nynorsk og en for bokm\u00e5l, begge er i TMX 1.4-format (en variant av XML). Det er en overvekt av oversettelser til bokm\u00e5l:<\/p>\n

En TU (Translation Unit) er et oversettelsespar med en originaltekst og en parallellstilt oversettelse av denne.
