Projects
One way of procuring new language resources is to build them from scratch. The National Library has initiated different projects for the development of new language resources. At the moment, this centres around three different resources:
- Wordnets for Norwegian bokmål and nynorsk
- Manually annotated text corpora (gold standard corpora) for Norwegian bokmål and nynorsk
- An acoustic-phonetic speech database for Norwegian
The three projects are described below.
Wordnets for Norwegian bokmål and nynorsk
In March 2011, the National Library and Kaldera språkteknologi AS (Caldera Language Technology Ltd.) entered into an agreement on the development of wordnets for Norwegian bokmål and nynorsk.
