Nota bene, Nasjonalbibliotekets skriftserie, blei etablert hausten 2009. Skriftserien er Nasjonalbibliotekets eigen formidlingskanal både for forskingsresultat som byggjer på samlinga i biblioteket, og for forsking som har relevans for denne samlinga. Med dette ønskjer vi å oppmuntre til meir forsking på materialet i Nasjonalbiblioteket, og til å heve kvaliteten på denne forskinga.

Nota bene har ein vid tematisk profil. For å spegle den fulle breidda av samlinga vår, vil publikasjonane kunne ta utgangspunkt i t.d. handskrifter, trykte kjelder, film, musikk, bilete og kringkasting. Vi gir ut både monografiar, kjeldekritiske utgåver og artikkelsamlingar. Alle utgåvene er fagfellevurderte. Vi tar sikte på at Nota bene skal kome ut med minst éi utgåve i året.

Nota bene: studies from the national Library of Norway is the Library’s channel for disseminating both research findings built on its collections, and research of relevance to these collections. In this way we wish to encourage more research on the material in the National Library, and to improve the quality of this research.

Nota bene has a wide thematic profile. In order to mirror the full breadth of our collection, the publications may be based on manuscripts, printed material, film, photography, music, broadcasting and digital media. Monographs, critical editions and collections of articles will be published. All manuscripts are peer reviewed. The Library publishes Nota bene annually.
