The thoughts and activities of a country and its citizens are reflected in the books and periodicals published there. These documents are often registered in the national bibliography of the country. Norway has Norsk Bokfortegnelse and Norske Tidsskriftartikler.The US has the Library of Congress Catalogue and Canada has Canadiana. More than 750,000 Norwegians emigrated to America between 1825-1930. These emigrants established their own community. The great span of thoughts and activities of the Norwegian-Americans is documented in their published writings. TMA may be called the national bibliography of these emigrants.
